Return of the DJ
Ok, before everyone starts – I’ve already stated for the record I fail at blogging! That said, it does mean that when I remember, there are normally a few things to talk about!
First of all, I <3 Cosette. I don’t say it enough or show it enough, so I’m posting it here for all to see :)
Now, moving on to the more boring stuff. NER (www.newedenradio.com) is back! I’m no longer the owner or manager, Hijak asked if he could take it over back in December and I transferred all the remaining station assets like the domain to him. I have joined the station as a cover DJ and acting Webmaster (mainly because I’m hosting the website for free to get the station off the ground again). It’s good to be back onair without worrying about the management side, but I hope Hijak knows what he is getting himself into! The station is broadcasting on weekends only at the moment, if you want to tune in.
Sticking with the radio front, I’ve got an interview for the ‘Real Academy’ this Tuesday. This is run by Real Radio (www.realradioyorkshire.co.uk) and is a 10 week (1 evening a week) course into the workings of a UK commercial radio station. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I get in!
Last but not least, I’ve got at least one wedding to DJ this year and waiting confirmation on the second. Hoping to see more gigs come my way as we head through the year :)
Right, time to head out into the gale force winds and see if I can get home for my NER cover tonight!
